Window winder
Category: mini-MPV/crossover
P11D price: £19,030
Key rival: Nissan Qashqai

The revelation that the 3008 Sport only has manual rear window winders has come as a shock to my five- and six-year old kids, who don't know they're born and have only used electric ones previously.

It has created new logistics issues though. From child seats they find manual opening and closing tricky as the winders are low down (if car sickness kicks in a quicker solution for fresh air is preferable). Also, manual winders can't be locked so no electronic driver's veto is possible if they fiddle with them. Still, by and large it's good to get their arms working for once.
