Our Fleet Test Drive Review: BMW 520d Touring - 13th report

Date: 27 May 2010   |   Author: Tristan Young

Brake pad miles to go
Category: Executive
P11D price: £34,790
Key rival: Audi A6

The 520d has travelled nearly 2000 miles since the front brake pads were replaced and the sensor reset.

That meant, according to the car's computer, the pads were good for another 25,000 miles. However, rather than reading 23,000 miles, the computer now shows 19,000 miles to, a drop of 6000 (see above). After a quick chat to BMW HQ, mainly about my driving style, they agree the car needs to be looked at by their technicians.

Hopefully we'll have an answer to the problem before our next report in a few weeks' time.
