Our Fleet Test Drive: Skoda Yeti - 7th Report

Date: 27 September 2010   |   Author: Hugh Hunston

Gravel
Category: lower medium crossover
P11D price: £15,820
Key rival: Nissan Qashqai

Like its Tundra-roaming namesake creature, the Yeti is an elusive vehicle to categorise.

Fitted with the 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine, it nibbles away at conventional lower medium hatchbacks and takes on fellow crossover rare breeds, like Kia's Soul. Fears that our sub-£16,000, two-wheel drive variant will suffer on RVs against 4x4 rivals are allayed by Jason King, head of market intelligence for Glass's, who predicts there will only be a marginal negative difference in values.
