The start point for the best source of fleet information
We've now driven Peugeot's new seven-seat MPV in the UK with the most fleet-friendly engine, the 110hp 1.6 HDI, having previously only tested it with the more powerful 150hp 2.0-litre diesel.
As well as offering an emissions figure that at 140g/km is 9g/km lower than the 2.0-litre car, this Peugeot 5008 is also better for both tax and fuel consumption, in this case coming in at 19% for benefit-in-kind taxation and 53.3mpg. These numbers are better than Volkswagen's Touran Bluemotion too.
Despite the car being slower than the 2.0-litre diesel, the 110 HDI is still plenty powerful enough to transport a family and luggage around the country without ever feeling down on go.
The 1.6 HDI is the entry point for power, however, the Exclusive trim is at the other end of the spectrum and includes a host of goodies such as Bluetooth, cruise control, head-up display, twin-zone aircon and panoramic sunroof. All of this makes the 110 HDI Exclusive the pick of the already excellent 5008 range.
