The start point for the best source of fleet information

Seat Ibiza Sport Coupe FR TSI: Test Drive Review

Date: 11 May 2010   |   Author: Rachel Burgess

Category: Supermini
P11D price: 15,340
Key rival: Alfa Mito

Seat's sporty Ibiza offering really surpasses expectations with excellent looks, steering, road handling and grip, although the automatic gearbox - while always welcome for long traffic-riddled journeys - needs improvement, and is reluctant to change up in lower gears. Switching to the manual setting, however, overcomes any such issues.

The interior is fairly basic but smart, with sports seats and steering wheel betraying this model as the 148hp 1.4-litre performance version. It's not strictly fleet fare: with CO2 emissions at 146g/km, 44.8mpg fuel economy and cost per mile of 44.0p, it's not the most savvy small-car purchase.

However, if you're looking for a good-value supermini with an edge for perk drivers, the Seat Ibiza Sport Coupe could be well worth considering, though there is also a diesel FR at below 121g/km on the way.
