Nissan Note: One Minute Test Drive Review

Date: 10 February 2011   |   Author:

P11D: £13,639

What's new: A model-year revision has seen subtle design tweaks and increased spec for Nissan's supermini-MPV, while prices remain the same.

Excellent: The standard equipment for below £14,000 is astounding, with satnav, climate control, Bluetooth, privacy glass, cruise control, auto lights and wipers, alloys and ESP anti-skid control all coming as part of the deal.

Good: Interior quality and space is impressive, and given the Note's high roofline it's no surprise that there's plenty of headroom. The Note is also well priced regardless of the excellent standard kit levels.

Average: The performance is adequate rather than sparkling from the 88hp 1.4, but it shifts the car along without fuss, while the boot is far from the largest in the sector.

Poor: The 1.4 petrol Note could really do with a sixth gear, as long motorway runs become both a chore and an expense due to the high revs the car sits at when cruising on the motorway.

Verdict: A very well-specced and very well-priced supermini-MPV that leaves little not to like.
