The load-lugging when moving house doesn't end with shifting all the furniture in.
Having finally picked up the keys to our new home just after Christmas, I'm now creating piles of rubbish that are in desperate need of dumping.
Old kitchen cupboards, upsetting amounts of polystyrene and cardboard packaging that used to protect flat-pack Swedish furniture, and some random items left in the loft by our predecessors have all found their way into the pleasingly cavernous boot of my 5-series. Despite my best efforts with plastic sheeting, the next job is to give the boot and interior a proper clean.
