It's often the little things that matter in life; the same applies with car design.
In this case, the people at Mitsubishi have thought about the needs of its customers and created two cubby holes on each side of the roomy boot to hold objects that would otherwise move around, causing unwanted noise and/or damage. These areas will hold anything from water bottles to a welly to a small shopping bag, giving a cosy spot that is also hidden away from the view of those occasional opportunist thieves.
