OUR FLEET TEST DRIVE: Peugeot 508 SW - 2nd Report

Rear

I may have told a small lie in my first report on the 508. That lie surrounds the vital equipment for any fleet-dedicated trim level, such as our 508's SR badging.

If I were a fleet manager, I would want all large family cars to be fitted with parking sensors to keep the minor scrape repairs or end-of-contract bills to a minimum. While standard satnav, cruise control and twin-zone climate control are great for resale value and the driver, it only takes one small ding on a hidden bollard when reversing into a parking space to cost a few hundred pounds in repairs. And this makes the optional parking sensors at £255 - not fitted - a must.

I've yet to get to grips with the length of the car, and keep parking well over a foot short of the object behind. Lets hope it stays that way.
