Our Fleet Test Drive: Skoda Superb - 7th Report

A recent short break in the Lake District has reinforced two points about the Skoda Superb Greenline estate.

Firstly, the car is just perfect for long motorway hauls carrying kids and clobber. In fact, it makes you a bit lazy on the packing skills front, because you don't need to carefully arrange items - you can just throw luggage in and it's guaranteed to fit.

The second point is that being efficient isn't just about buying a 'green' car. If you increase your average speed the economy will come down. Witness the 54mpg - our worst figure so far - for the round trip, due to being 'in a hurry'.
