Our Fleet Test Drive: Skoda Superb - 9th Report

In white

There are three things I've noticed about white car ownership.

Firstly and particularly on the motorway, if you drive at eco speeds other drivers will mistake you for a police car. You can watch them whizzing down the outside lane, spot the Skoda and slow for the pass. Secondly, in sunny weather they stay cooler. You can leave the car baking in the sun, yet on your return it won't be a sauna inside. Finally, they show the dirt. Or more specifically, they carry a lot of dirt without showing it, but once you run a finger over the paint, the difference is huge, forcing a wash. And given the Superb's size, that's a lot of washing. You've been warned.
