Isofix

One of the less well-known areas that BMW is probably leading the market on is its Isofix attachments. Lugging my young daughter's hefty Brittax from one car to another, either in the BusinessCar car park or at home, frequently illustrates the difference between good and bad.

My 320d ED is a two-second job, involving removing little plastic covers and slotting the seat's fittings into the newly exposed slots. But it's not the same for all brands, and Alfa Romeo and Seat are two where I've recently spent almost 15 minutes wrestling with a rear seat cushion to part a gap, cursing the designers.
