Back seats

Are you sitting comfortably? Then you are unlikely to be occupying the central rear seat in our long-term Civic. While there is ample room for four occupants, the fifth needs to be fairly compact and perhaps have horse-riding experience because of the pronounced saddle-like hump squab that also reduces headroom. That is compounded by the central oddments compartment being set intrusively far back to compromise knee room. Though admittedly, that fifth seat is used rarely, and the Civic is not the only car in its category that stretches any claim to carry five in comfort.
