Reversing guidelines

My habits of judging reversing manoeuvres by winding down the window and peering backwards or leaning out of an open driver's door to check the proximity of obstacles might be archaic, but I lack the faith to trust the Civic's rear-facing camera and would prefer a set of beeping parking sensors. Honda maintains most corporate users endorse the ES spec with camera-assisted vision not sonar. Perhaps a choice could settle the issue instead of paying £535 for dealer-fitted sensors or including them in the £995 Elite Pack with posher carpets, mudflaps and boot tray.
