Our Fleet Test Drive: Kia Optima - 10th Report

Phone

My last report's comparison with the Peugeot 508 showed how close the two brands are, but also how it's the little details that make me glad to return to the Optima. Case in point, an irritating thing about the 508 is the lack of handy areas to put items such as a phone. You only have the door bins, where items can rattle around, or the centre armrest, which can make you forget them when you exit. The Kia's sunken rubber-matted areas forward of the gearstick or in the well of the door grab handle are more logical and useful for small stowage.
