Eco mode
The CT200h has been driven in 'eco' mode since arrival, but now for the sake of an mpg comparison I've switched it to 'normal', and boy, does it feel great.
Why? Well, while good for driving around town, the engine has struggled to cope with the extra strain of dual-carriageways or motorways, in particular uphill. Now, free of the throttle-limiting restriction, performance is enhanced, although still not perfect, and the car feels better for it.
Of course, you're free to change from eco to normal via a quick push of a dial any time you like, while rotating it to the right takes you to the self-explanatory 'sport' mode.
