According to the CT200h's fuel stats, there's little difference in mpg terms between employing 'normal' (45.8mpg) and 'eco' (46.4mpg) modes.

For the sake of comparison I've used first one setting then the other, and herein lies the problem: going 'eco' for all journeys hasn't had as big an impact on economy as might be expected because the engine has been overly stretched on high-mph trips.

Drivers need to pick the most apt mode to suit driving conditions.?Switching between eco for urban journeys and normal for higher speeds should prove the best course.
