Until now I've been singing the praises of the technology in our long-term Peugeot 508 SR estate.
But it's got to a point where I've lost my patience with the satnav. The main issue surrounds the half-postcode system. Instead of using a full postcode, which would drop you within a few houses of the place you want to be, the 508 only accepts the first part of the postcode, so you can end up a good few miles from where you want to be - as I discovered the other day. So I've now given up on postcodes and gone back to the long-winded town, street and number method.
However, that approach isn't foolproof. When I tried entering the address for Peugeot dealer Charters in Aldershot, the satnav refused to recognise the road name - Ash Road.
So I switched to the 'point of interest' method of finding the dealer, only to have the Ash Road address appear in the nav. Most odd.
