Vauxhall Insignia Tech Line: One Minute Test Drive Review

What's new: We've previously tried the fleet-orientated Tech Line trim in Vauxhall's Astra, but it's also available in the Insignia, with the Zafira and Mokka to follow soon.
Excellent: Equipment for the low P11D price impresses (with a notable exception we'll come to later), including satnav, DAB?radio and Bluetooth as standard, and the Tech Line ends up with a 51.0p per mile figure, 12.5p lower than the same engine in SE?Nav spec.
Good: The emissions, if you go for the Ecoflex stop/start version, are commendable at 115g/km, but it costs £925 more than the 134g/km model that doesn't benefit from the CO2-reducing tech.
Average: The usual Insignia moans are repeated here, including an unintuitive navigation/audio system and refinement that can't match the best diesels on the market.
Poor: Surprisingly for a specification designed specifically for the business car market and otherwise loaded with kit, parking sensors aren't standard on what is a large car that doesn't have the best visibility.
Verdict: The best Insignia trim level by a huge margin for both corporate operators and their drivers.
