Citroen C3 Picasso 115 HDi Excl.: Test Drive Review
Date:
10 September 2013
P11D:
£17,600
Citroen's C3 Picasso supermini-MPV has been given a mid-life refresh, although it's a subtle one.
A new front bumper and Citroen badge, and on VTR+ and Exclusive models LED daytime running lights, are all that make the new model stand out from its predecessor.
The 1.6-litre HDi diesel engine driven here has been tweaked so it puts out an extra 5hp over the previous 110hp unit, but economy and emissions figures remain the same as before. That means this model emits 125g/km of CO2, which compares with a Ford B-max's 104g/km from its admittedly less powerful 95g/km diesel.
Other changes with the revised C3 Picasso include new colours and an upgraded satnav.
The C3 is unremarkable to drive, but the point of these cars is for those with young families, and the car's practicality, including decent-sized boot, help it, although a sub-30% residual value means it loses out on costs to the B-max and Kia's Soul.
