The start point for the best source of fleet information |
Nissan's smaller crossover, the Juke, is now cleaner courtesy of a revised 1.5-litre dCi diesel engine that cuts CO2 to 109g/km from 124g/km and boosts official economy to 67.3mpg from 58.9mpg.
It may be the lowest-emitting engine in the range but it's perky and not short of mid-range pulling power. An even cleaner 104g/km version has just become available too, promising 70.6mpg.
It still suffers from a cramped interior and small boot though, and it's easily bested by rivals that are already more efficient.
For similar money (£17,840 for a top-spec Dynamique S model) you can have a Captur from Nissan's sister firm Renault, which emits a significantly lower 95g/km and returns an official 76.4mpg.It's also much more spacious than the Juke and it isn't the only small crossover that can trump it in these areas.
The Peugeot 2008 also comes cleaner, while the forthcoming, larger Nissan Qashqai crossover will hit 99g/km.
VerdictThe lowest-emitting Juke yet but rivals come cleaner and better |
