Honda Civic Test Drive Review

Honda has made a series of changes to the lower medium Civic. Exterior tweaks consist of rear privacy glass, darker tail lights and various bits of additional trim, while updates under the skin comprise revised suspension and steering.
Park the new car and the older model next to each other and you may well notice the differences, but you've a job to spot them otherwise. The same goes for the driving experience - the minimal changes may well count for something, but you'd never know unless you'd stepped out of the previous version.
There are no alterations under the bonnet and our test model came with Honda's 120hp 1.6-litre i-DTEC diesel engine, which remains superb. It's punchy, refined and with 94g/km in the hatchback and an official economy figure of 78.5mpg, is a tough all-rounder to beat. Even so, this SR model, one below the top spec, is expensive at £25,085.
