The start point for the best source of fleet information |
The latest Skoda Octavia vRS is powered, in fleet favourite diesel form, by a 184hp 2.0-litre engine, comes with a sporty body kit leaving it unmistakable compared with the arest of the range, and still only emits CO2 of 119g/km.
The Octavia vRS diesel hatch is £270 more expensive than its 220hp petrol sibling, but is 23g/km more efficient to make it the no-brainer for business car operators.
It's also a good-looking, powerful yet efficient and very practical car with a huge boot - the hatchback is 590 litres, bigger than most cars from the class above.
The only downside is that the vRS isn't the performance bargain it used to be. Stablemate Seat's Leon FR, fitted with the same 184hp TDI powerplant, is just over £1000 cheaper, 10g/km more efficient, and gets a slightly better residual value to leave it 3.8p per mile better off.
However, Ford's Focus Zetec S, while not as practical, powerful or efficient, beats the vRS by 2.8p.
