Our Fleet Test Drive: Audi A3 - 6th Report

Date: 31 January 2014   |   Author: Tony Rock

The A3 comes with an optional tyre pressure monitoring system, costing £75, that I have to admit I only became aware of when faced with a warning and symbol (see picture).

The system makes use of the existing ABS sensors, and kicks in if changes in inflation pressure are detected in one or more tyres.

In this instance resolving the issue involved not only reinflating the below-pressure tyre, but also, as the message urges, a reset run through the menus - 'servicing and checks' to 'tyre pressure monit.' to 'store tyre pressures' - on the pop-up MMI display.
