The boot kept opening

BusinessCar's publishing boss recently borrowed the 3-series and thought he'd broken it because every time he went to pull away, the boot kept opening.

He'd get out and shut the boot lid and check it was down properly, but by the time he was in the driver's seat and about to drive away, it was open again. Only after three or four occurrences did he twig that, as the BMW has keyless start but not keyless entry, he'd dropped the key in his back pocket, and managed to repeatedly sit on the boot release button.

At least it was easily solved!

Verdict

  • Efficiency, driving experience
  • Keyless start but not keyless entry
