Our Fleet Test Drive: BMW 330d Touring Luxury auto - 2nd Report

Date: 03 September 2013   |   Author:

It's far from unusual to hear a chorus of mocking about the plight of large rear-wheel drive cars struggling in the snow, generally from people with 4x4 transportation.

So I can smugly report that - partially due to refusing to leave the house in the peak of last winter's bad weather, plus the 330d being fitted with winter tyres - when I did eventually venture down my ice-smeared street, the BMW didn't even break traction. Which was a surprise to be honest. In fact, I came nearer an accident walking across the icy pavement to the car than I did in it.
