Our Fleet Test Drive: Ford Mondeo - 3rd report

Big and comfortable

I'm still undecided on the styling of Ford's new Mondeo, and some of that is down to the car's varying appeal depending on the angle of approach.

Nose-on it's fine, and there's not much wrong with the rear, but come at the car from a rear three-quarter sort of angle and I'm significantly less convinced.

There's a large slab of pretty much unstyled metal running from the rear wheelarch around the back corner that in my opinion gives the Mondeo something of a dumpy rear end. It looks a bit like it's carrying an American influence, whereas I prefer my cars a little sleeker.
