Our Fleet Test Drive: Honda Civic - 4th report

Date: 23 September 2014   |   Author: Tony Rock

The first time I visited a petrol station to fill up the Civic Tourer I spent what felt like an eternity trying to work out how to open the fuel cap. There wasn't a button immediately evident in the cabin, while getting out of the car and pressing the cap itself didn't release a catch.

Cracking open the user manual revealed that the lever is actually immediately above an identical one for the bonnet in the driver's footwell, although the latter was clearly visible from the driver's seat. Okay, so this is a problem you'll only encounter once, but surely there are more convenient spots to place a lever that will be used regularly?
