Something has been bugging me about the exterior of our Jaguar XF Sportbrake, and it was only when I saw a saloon version of the same car that I realised I didn't feel that the estate looked as 'executive' as the smaller-booted vehicle - it just seems a little less classy to my mind.

That was until I saw an XF estate in blue (or Dark Sapphire Metallic) down our road. Unfortunately, it was only there briefly, and had gone before I had time to whip out my phone to take a picture, but the colour exuded an air of sophistication that, for me, our Odyssey Red Metallic, chosen by editor Barker, who is a fan, doesn't quite match
