At the outset of this long-term loan, we noted our A-class had been "loaded to its rafters" with £12,460 of extras.
That would almost buy a small-engined Citroen DS3, but a few bits that have really earned their place for a car full of music lovers are the DAB digital radio tuner (£420) and more important still, the Harman Kardon Logic 7 surround-sound system with 11 high-performance speakers and additional amplifiers (£680).
From BBC Radio 6 Music to Spotify offline (streamed wirelessly via an iPhone and Bluetooth) the sound improvement is for me well worth it.
