Our Fleet Test Drive: Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV - 6th report

Date: 04 November 2014   |   Author: Tristan Young

I like talking cars, which is just as well given my job, but I'm starting to get a bit tired of having the same conversations over and over again about the Outlander PHEV. Interestingly, park it anywhere and no one will ask about it - but as soon as you plug it in, people stare, some just walk up to you and ask questions, and others ring your doorbell at home to ask about it. It's got to the stage where I'm considering printing cards with the words: 'Everything you want to know about this car can be found at BusinessCar.co.uk.'

Mostly, people ask about how far it can go on a full charge (for me, about 25 miles) but I have had many others. The thing I wonder, is does this happen to all plug-in cars, or just the Mitsubishi? Maybe a Leaf owner could tell me?
