Our Fleet Test Drive: Peugeot 208 - 6th Report

Date: 29 August 2013   |   Author: Hugh Hunston

P11D £15,790
Mileage 1566
Our average consumption 53.3mpg
Forecast CPM 38.7p
Actual CPM 40.3p

Our aesthetically attractive Peugeot 208 has failed its screen test on both radio and satnav fronts as the infotainment centre, a key part of the car's central nervous system, will have to be replaced due to a software glitch.

The fascia-mounted screen displays a "GPS failed" symbol, despite the system providing guidance when the warning graphic is ignored, and whether you want to listen or not the radio switches itself back on randomly, at varying time intervals, when on the move.

Verdict

  • Good looks and low emissions.
  • Infotainment system has packed up.
