Our Fleet Test Drive: Renault Captur - 3rd report

Date: 30 September 2014   |   Author:

There are pros and cons of the Captur's instrument display. Starting with a con, it's irritating that if cruise control is switched on, the memorised speed overrides everything else, and even if you use the button on the end of the indicator stalk to cycle back to average mpg, distance to empty or any of the other functions, as soon as you resume the cruise, it overrides it again.

On the plus side, the bar in the picture, which changes from orange to green depending on fuel economy, is a really simple way of showing drivers when they're not doing all they can to be fuel-efficient.
