Our Fleet Test Drive: Renault Captur - 6th report

Date: 16 October 2014   |   Author:

While Renault will find it hard to battle Mini for badge prestige, its Captur is bringing the fight to the brand when it comes to residuals.

Our long-termer posts an impressive 41.4% RV after 3yrs/60,000mls, which is even more remarkable when held up against the Countryman One 1.6D 90, which retains 41.8%. It's a testament to strong running cost credentials, with a CO2 of 95g/km easily beating both the Mini and the Peugeot 2008 1.6e-HDi Allure, at 111g/km and 103g/km respectively.

The Renault also has the best cost per mile figure at 37.2p, compared with the Mini and 2008, which sit at 40.3p and 41.2p.
