The start point for the best source of fleet information

Our Fleet Test Drive: Renault Kadjar -5th report

Date: 24 May 2016   |   Author: David Motton

Most modern cars have a gearshift indicator to encourage the driver to change into a more fuel-efficient gear. The Kadjar goes further, with several screens of the infotainment system devoted to economy and eco-driving. It even warns of poor air quality outside.

From the moment the ignition is turned on, the car scores my driving for acceleration, gear changes and anticipation. It takes the three measures and turns them into a score out of 100.

Seeing as BusinessCar is a sensible magazine read and written by sensible people, I usually try to achieve the highest possible score. But once in a while it's fun to floor the throttle, brake hard and watch the number plummet...

Verdict

  • Good looks
  • Promising mpg, practical boot
  • Choppy town ride
  • Infotainment system lacks shortcut buttons
