Our Fleet Test Drive: Skoda Superb - 4th report

Every Sunday, my wife and I play the 'economy game'.

It works like this: each week we take it in turns to drive the Superb the 10 miles back from walking the dogs at a nearby park with the aim of getting the highest mpg figure by the time we reach home. It's a testing route too. From a cold engine start there are plenty of traffic lights, hills and twisty bits to navigate. It may be sad, but it's true. We're competitive types and given economy is what the Superb Greenline is all about I suppose it makes sense. The only trouble is, my wife's winning with a rather light-footed 68.9mpg.
