Until you live with a Superb estate you really can't appreciate how much room there is inside. The bare figures for the boot space tell part of the story. In standard 'seats up, boot cover closed' format there's 625 litres.
That's 125 litres more than a Ford Mondeo estate or 60 more than an Audi A6 Avant.
However, sometimes (when you transport the wife, two kids, three dogs, a cat and all the associated paraphernalia to go with a Christmas week at the in-laws) no estate is big enough and you have to add a roofbox.
But even when fully loaded, the massive rear legroom means the kids can't kick the back of the front seats.
