Boot

High on the list of user priorities when you order a Skoda Superb estate is space - after all, it's one of the car's best traits.

But it's not until you use the car daily that you realise how big the Superb is internally. What 633 litres of boot space means in more practical terms is that in three months of ownership I've not yet had to lower the back seats to get things in. For instance, you can easily put a couple of kids' bikes in and still have room for a few dogs, should you want to go for a weekend outing.

It also means that in 90% of the times I've used the boot I've also used the standard boot divider that stops smaller (or even medium-sized) items from clonking around the back. I even use the divider to stop a week's worth of groceries for a family of four sliding around. In fact, most of the time you don't have to use the boot because you can fit the shopping in the two rear passenger footwells, which are massive.

And in case the main boot area isn't enough, there are large compartments to each side and underneath too. I've not used those yet either, but in a few weeks' time the car faces the ultimate test: taking the family on a summer holiday. I've high hopes.
