Our Fleet Test Drive: Vauxhall Ampera - 8th Report

Date: 12 February 2014   |   Author:

P11D: £35,540

The arrival of my second child has asked a few new questions of the Ampera, thanks to Oliver's presence meaning the re-emergence of a pushchair and car seat, both ridiculously large.

The pushchair is pretty much the same shape as the boot, and the Ampera's shallow loadspace is welcome when hauling a child's carriage in and out, but I've had to pull my driver's seat forward a few notches to squeeze the car seat, complete with Isofix base, in behind me.

Admittedly, I like to have my seat a long way back, but even so it's a compromise. At least the Isofix fittings are easily accessible.
