Our Fleet Test Drive: Volvo V40 - 3rd Report

Date: 05 December 2013   |   Author: Jack Carfrae

With use, the Volvo V40's relatively small boot has become increasingly apparent.

By and large, none of the cars in the premium lower medium sector are much to write home about when it comes to luggage capacity, so if that's a priority you're better off looking elsewhere.

That said, the Audi A3 Sportback trumps the pack at a reasonable 380 litres, while the BMW 1-series five-door's load space is much improved over that of its diminutive predecessor and it now offers 360 litres. The Mercedes A-class manages 341 litres and the Volvo is at the bottom of the pack with 335 litres.
