Our Fleet Test Drive: Hyundai i30 - 10th Report

Date: 02 December 2013   |   Author: Guy Bird

No interior light

In the last report we praised the exterior quality and fit of the i30. The interior's smart too and on the surface looks fine, but the BlueDrive's poverty spec is starting to grate.

During these dark winter days and nights, the lack of even an interior ceiling light seems to be taking penny-pinching (or weight reduction?) too far.

The centre console's lights don't come on when you turn on the ignition key to the 'electrics-on' stage, so until you turn on the headlamps as well (there are no auto lights on this trim) you'll spend a lot of time cursing in the dark.
