Kia reveals new Soul

Kia has revealed pictures of its second-generation Soul, ahead of its launch in spring 2014, and the supermini-MPV will, according to the carmaker, offer improved emissions and increased interior and luggage space.
A new platform - the same as the lower medium Ceed - means improved ride and handling on its predecessor, as well as an upgraded suspension and soundproofing, said Kia.
Both 1.6-litre petrol and diesel engines will be available, offering reduced emissions and better efficiency, but no details on performance and prices have yet been confirmed. The most fleet-friendly Soul in the current line-up is the 1.6-litre 126hp diesel with 129g/km CO2.
The new model also has a longer wheelbase and wider track, increasing leg, head and shoulder room, and upping boot space by 4% from 340 litres to 354 litres.
Equipment, depending on trim level, will include front LED daytime running lights, keyless entry, automatic climate control, cruise control, leather upholstery, heated front and rear seat and panoramic sunroof.
Buyers will also be able to choose between three roof colours - black, white and red - as well as 11 exterior paint colours.
