Electric vehicle charge payment card available

Leasing firm Alphabet has launched a charge card for electric vehicles as part of its Alpha Electric plug-in car programme.
Available as of last week, the card means business users can top-up vehicles at more than 85% of public electric vehicle charging points in the UK as part of a tie-up with EV charging specialist Chargemaster.
Each card costs a flat fee of £20 per year, and billing for electric usage will take the form of a "consolidated monthly invoice".
The firm is also offering private membership on a direct debit basis. It stated that charging points vary in their fee structures, but added that a significant amount of the network is currently free to use due to Government subsidies.
Users will be able to locate compatible charging points through the firm's app and website.
Head of corporate mobility Kit Wisdom said: "Rather than signing up to multiple cards for the various different networks, we are able to offer drivers access to the majority of public charging points throughout the UK, including many of the Plugged-in Places schemes, through a simple one card pay-per-use solution.
"In addition, we'll be providing Alpha Electric customers with access to a comprehensive map of suitable charging points through our website and the free-to-download Alpha Guide app."
