Pricing and specifications revealed for all-new Mazda CX-5

Mazda has confirmed its all-new CX-5 crossover will be priced from £23,195 when it hits UK soil in June.

Two engines are offered, both in SE-L Nav and Sport trim levels: a 2.0-litre 165hp petrol with a 150hp 2.2-litre diesel making up the bulk of the range.

The petrol is offered in a manual, front-wheel drive only form, while the diesel engine can be mated to a four-wheel drive system and an automatic transmissions.

Standard kit on the CX-5 includes LED headlights, automatic folding door mirrors, DAB radio and a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment system.

Sport Nav models add a reversing camera, adjustable and heated front seats, as well as a powered tailgate and a head-up display, with the latter two pieces of equipment appearing in a Mazda for the first time.

Mazda said that more than 1.5 million CX-5s have found homes since the first-generation model was launched in 2012, accounting for a quarter of the firm's global sales volume, with 32,000 current-generation units being sold in the UK.

And today the all-new Mazda CX-5 takes this to the next stage, elevating exterior design, cabin quality and refinement to new levels of sophistication, whilst at the same time ensuring Mazda's love of driving is even more apparent in the handling," said Jeremy Thomson, managing director of Mazda Motors UK.

He added: "When it arrives in UK dealerships this summer I'm sure the all-new Mazda CX-5 will carry on winning over British SUV buyers, especially as increased equipment levels and superb residual values mean it continues to represent great value for retail and fleet customers alike."
