Citroen has removed the 180hp petrol engine option from its C5 Aircross range.
The engine, which was the most powerful petrol sold with the C5 Aircross, came with an eight-speed automatic gearbox, and to fill the need for a petrol auto option this gearbox has now been made available with the range's 130hp petrol engine.
The new powertrain is available with the mid-range Flair and range-topping Flair+ equipment grades, priced at £28,335 and £30,535 respectively.
The new powertrain is available to order now, with the first deliveries expected in March.
In addition, Citroen has announced that due to re-homologation, some diesel C5 Aircross variants have had their official CO2 emission figures reduced.
All 1.5-litre, 130hp diesel manual models have had their figure reduced from 108g/km to 105g/km, while models with the same engine and the automatic gearbox have had the figure reduced from 105g/km to 100g/km.
A plug-in hybrid version of the C5 Aircross is also set to be introduced later this year.
