Kia has unveiled the K4 as its new lower-medium ICE model for the UK.
The model will effectively replace the Ceed, although Kia argues it is not a direct replacement as there will be no estate or crossover versions of the K4. The existing XCeed will remain on sale, while the new EV4 will complete Kia’s offering in the segment.
Although the K4 is available as a saloon in other markets, in the UK it will be hatchback-only. It measures 4,440mm long and 1,850mm wide, and has a 438-litre boot.
The interior features a panoramic display integrating a 12.3in instrument cluster, a 5.3in climate display, and a 12.3in infotainment touchscreen.
Engine options will include a 1.0-litre, 115hp petrol engine, available optionally with mild hybrid technology, and 1.6-litre, 150hp and 180hp petrols. A full hybrid version will subsequently follow next year.
Driver assist systems will include Smart Cruise Control 2, which can, in the event of an emergency, bring the car to a stop if the driver is unresponsive, and Highway Driving Assist 2.0, which is designed to help the driver maintain a safe distance from the car ahead, stay centred in their lane, change lanes, and adjust lateral positioning.
The K4 is expected to arrive in UK showrooms during the final quarter of 2025. UK specs and prices are yet to be confirmed.
