The start point for the best source of fleet information

ACFO asks BusinessCar readers to help cut fine hell

Date: 03 March 2008

Fleet organisation ACFO has launched a Fines Advisory Group to help fleets achieve best practice for dealing with drivers' fines and penalties, and is calling on BusinessCar readers to help.

The group is being run by board member John Prior who aims to help members deal with the rising levels of admin dealt with by fleet managers.

Prior said: "We mustn't forget that this has been caused because the driver has done wrong. But we're hoping to be able to advise members about the best thing to do when dealing with fines." He has already contacted the National Parking Adjudication Service which governs penalty charge notices in England & Wales (excluding London).

"I've given them 14 days to respond and then I was going to issue a summons! On a serious note, I'd like to hear from BusinessCar readers with tales of problems or ways of solving them so that we can help others."
