Hybrids sell best in the south-east

Date: 13 June 2008

Hybrid vehicles sell best in the south-east of England, according to leasing giant Lex.

The London congestion charge is the reason behind quicker and more profitable sales.

Lex also believes fleets and dealers will move their smaller and hybrid-powered vehicles to the area to maximise the resell value.

The leasing company also predicted vendors based in the south-east will move high-powered petrol engined vehicles elsewhere to speed up sales.
