Volvo starts unveiling its new S60

Date: 24 November 2008

Volvo has released a teaser picture of its new upper medium S60 saloon.

It shows the concept version that will appear at the Detroit motor show in January 2009, with the production version expected in 2010.

The S60 concept appears to be sleeker than the outgoing model, with the headlights taking a more sweeping line. It is also expected to be slightly smaller than the previous version, which sat in size between BMW's 3- and 5-series saloons.

The concept version also features a hand crafted centre console made of pure crystal. However, it was created just for the concept and is unlikely to make it to the production version.
