Mitsubishi confirms longer L200

Mitsubishi has confirmed its L200 Long Bed pick-up with an additional seven inches of load bed, as exclusively revealed by BusinessCar on 1 May.
The new variant will be sold alongside the existing standard load bed version, initially only in double cab 4Work, 4Life, Warrior and Animal trim levels, and attracts a £750 premium.
The extra length is all in the rear overhang, with the wheelbase staying the same, and the bed is also higher and squarer at the rear than in the Standard Bed model.
As well as the additional load length and the redesigned rear end, the Warrior and Animal variants also get an upgraded version of the standard 134hp 2.5-litre turbodiesel providing 176hp and developing 400Nm of peak torque, making them the most powerful off-the-shelf pick-ups available in the UK. The more powerful engine increases the price by £250.
